Facility Planning And Management Consulting Services
Planning, building and operating a theatre, arts centre, gallery or other cultural venue is a very complex process with many parts. The process does not begin nor end with architectural issues. The Building or Organizing Committee must address the operational, planning and management issues early on in the process to ensure a smooth design development, construction, start-up and an effective and efficient ongoing operation.

General Management Services

Competent and effective management of the resources of an arts organization in this economic environment is critical. Schick Shiner and Associates have provided General Management services to arts organizations, to replace outgoing staff on a temporary basis and to provide a “fix” and stability to operations in transition or financial difficulty.

Theatre Design Consulting Services
A theatre facility is not in itself the end product. It is only the means to facilitate the creation of a work of performing art; dance, drama, music and opera; a tool to do a very specific job. The theatre facility, and indeed the performance chamber, must support and enhance the performer. In order to achieve this the theatre facility and performance chamber must be designed carefully, supporting the communication between the performer and the audience.

Richard Schick is widely recognized as an accomplished photographer with experience in the areas of architecture, portrait and landscape photography. In addition, he has experience in the non-silver photographic process known as gum-bichromate printing developed in 1856.
